We are allowed to be ambitious for ambition’s sake—unapologetically.
Becoming a millionaire was never on my radar, until n o w. “We are allowed to be ambitious for ambition’s sake—unapologetically.” Is it possible that I have been needing to hear these words, to even dare to dream it? “We have a right to build wealth for ourselves as women for no other reason than we want it.” You don’t need to explain yourself to anyone. I need to remember this.
Rachel Rodgers asks you to imagine your dream life, and then do the math. Find the cost, and figure it out. Until you work the numbers, you will never know. This exercise turned my dreams into an actual real-life plan. I know this sounds too simple, but it will give you the evidence you need to keep moving forward.
We Should All Be Millionaires was hella inspirational. If you want more and know you are truly meant for more in this life, then this book is for you. You will find a practical guide for women who need realistic advice on living a bigger life and making million dollar decisions. If you think you don’t need more money, you’re wrong. Having financial aspirations isn’t selfish. It means sending your kids to that fancy soccer clinic this summer, it means food on your table, and it can even mean starting that nonprofit you have always thought about when you can’t sleep at night. It means taking your family on vacations and creating experiences that you will remember for a lifetime.
“Money magnifies who you truly are.” I have heard this from a number of entrepreneurs, and I truly believe it. I am a giver at my core. I know I would be an amazing force in this world if I had greater resources. Money is not evil. Money is a concept, heck it’s code in a computer somewhere. Money only has the meaning that you give it.
Rachel poses a lot of questions that work as amazing journal prompts for uncovering what you really want. Save these goodies to explore on your own:
What would you do if you were a bad girl? ie. if you stopped following the rules, if you got rid of your limiting beliefs, and did whatever the efff you want.
How can you start to embody the woman you want to become right now? Make a list, and act on it.
Make $10k in 10 days challenge. What would you do? Now do it! - This is an entire chapter, and it will fire you up. 🔥
Challenge yourself to write down 50 specific ways you’ve made your current company better.
Make a list of 25 ways that you are already giving back. - You probably give more than you realize, and should feel no weird guilt about wanting more money when you already do so much for others.
“Here’s another reason to make your goals big and seemingly ridiculous: There will be fewer competitors since most people aim for average rather than greatness. There is plenty of room for you at the top.” THIS IS POSSIBLE. Thank you Rachel for showing me proof.
Please buy We Should All Be Millionaires through my Amazon Associates link. All profits will go towards some causes that I care about a lot. I still haven’t figured out the exact way in which I’m going to give back, but something related to mental health, teaching young women not to follow the rules (I didn’t learn until my mid-20s that my entire way of being from birth until now did not serve me in the real world wtf), donating smile makeovers to people working to turn their life around that need a boost, and helping animals (sea turtles, dogs, any creature that needs love). It even brings me joy to make that list. Truly. 😊
Rating: 5 Teeth
This book is a wisdom tooth, dropping knowledge and pearls on every page. I wish I had read We Should All Be Millionaires sooner. It really gave me a lot to noodle over and changed the way I think about success, money, and worthiness. I am so grateful to the women that have come before me, who have totally kicked ass, and now want to share their process and help lift other women up as well. Hello seven.
